The Zambia flag was adopted when Zambia reached independence in 1964, the design was also modified in 1996. The design is a green field, with a rectangle block on the fly side of the flag. The block is divided into 3 equal vertical stripes of red, black and orange. Flying above the block is an orange eagle.
Green represents the nationals flora and vegetation, orange for for the mineral wealth and natural resources of the land, red is for the struggle to gain independence, the black for the people of Zambia and the eagle for the ability of the people to rise above.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
