The Venezuela flag design consists of a horizontal tricolour in yellow, blue and red bands, with 8 white stars in an arc centered on the blue band. This design was adopted in 2006, however the original design dates back to the 1800's, and has been changed over the years to add the stars, change the shape they were in and to add or remove the coat of arms.
Symbolically, the yellow is for the riches of the country and the sun, the source of light. Blue is for the Caribbean Sea as well as the beaches. Red is for the blood spilled in the battle for independence from Spain.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
