Tasmania State Flag (TAS)
The Tasmanian State Flags (TAS) This design dates back to 1876, however there was a slight change made to the lion in 1975 when it was officially adopted by the current Government of the time. This was actually an error however, as the flag had been gazetted by the colonial government in 1876. It is not known what the origins of how the lion came to be included on the flag, but it is assumed the red lion is a link with England.
The Tasmania State flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
