Philippines Flag - This flag was first adopted in 1898 and then reaffirmed in 1998. The design consists of a bicolour field with horizontal stripes in blue and red, with a equilateral triangle in white on the hoist side. In the centre of the white triangle is a yellow sun with 8 rays, each of which represents a province. Each point of the triangle has a smaller yellow star each representing one of the islands 3 main groups - Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The Philippines flag is unique in that it can be used to indicate a state of War, by flipping the flag and having the red stripe on top.
Our Philippines flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
