Nigeria Flag - This flag was adopted in 1960 and consists of a vertical tri-band design of green and white bands. This flag was first officially used on the 1st October 1960 when Nigeria was granted independence from the United Kingdom. The design was chosen after a competition held in 1959, and the design was submitted by a student. The original version had a badge in the centre of the white band, which was removed by judges of the competition- since then, the design has remained unchanged. The variant of the Nigerian flag with the badge is sometimes used as a state flag.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
