Niger Flag - This flag design has been used since 1959, which was a year prior to its formal independence from France. The design is a horizontal tri-band of orange white and green, with an orange circle in the middle of the white stripe.
These colours are the national colours of Niger and the flag features on the national Coat of Arms. It is commonly said (although no official confirmation of this) that the orange band represents the Sahara Desert, the white band for purity and the lower green band is for hope and the fertile regions of southern Niger. The middle circle is said to represent the sun.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag, to be used with clips to attach and run up a flag pole.
