Netherlands Flag - This flag design is a tri-colour of red white and blue, that originates from a variant in use in the 16th century which was orange white and blue also known as the 'Princes Flag'. This evolved in the early 17th century to a lighter version of the current flag with a much lighter blue and red used. In 1937 to end confusion over colours as the orange version was still used, the colours of the Kingdom of Netherlands were reaffirmed by royal decree on the 19th Feb 1937.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
