The Nauru Flag design was adopted in 1968, after Nauru gained independence. The design was chosen from a competition and depicts Nauru's geographical location, one degree south of the Equator. A gold horizontal band runs across a blue field with a white, 12 point star. The blue field represents the Pacific Ocean, the yellow band for the Equator and the 12 pointed star for the 12 indigenous tribes on the island.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
We can make flags to your specifications such as a custom design or vertical sleeve finish, please contact us for a quote.
