Malta Flag - This design was adopted in 1964 and is a simple design consisting of a bi-colour white and red flag of two equal sized bands. On the hoist side of the flag is a representation of the St George's Cross in the upper corner. The St George's Cross was awarded to the island by King George VI in a letter to the Governor to 'bear witness to the heroism and devotion of its people' during the great siege they underwent in the early part of WWII. The cross was originally incorporated into Malta's flag design in 1943 and remains in the current design.
The colours of the current flag are said to be from the Knights of Malta -a red cross on a white field.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
The flags come in a range of sizes for you to choose from, select your size from the drop down menu.
