Macau Flag - This flag design consists of a light green field with a white lotus flower above the stylised Governor Nobre de Carvalho Bridge and water also in white, with an arc of five gold, five-pointed stars - the centre star is a larger star than the other four.
Symbolically, the lotus is the floral emblem of Macau. The bridge links the Macau Peninsula and the island of Taipa and is one of the most recognisable land marks of the territory. The water and bridge also represent Macau's position as a port and its role played in the territory. The stars are reminiscent of the design of the Peoples Republic of China's flag, symbolising the relationship Macau has with its sovereign state.
This design was approved in March 1993 by the National Peoples Congress, and then used on the 20th December 1999.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
