Liechtenstein Flag - The current design is of two horizontal stripes, one blue and one red with a gold crown in the canton. The original design was only the blue and red stripes without the gold crown, however in 1937 the country added the crown to the flag, after they discovered their flag was the same as the Flag of Haiti during the Summer Olympics held the previous year. The change was done to serve two purposes - to signify Liechtenstein's position as a principality, and to distinguish the flag from Haiti's. The modification to the Liechtenstein flag was adopted on June 24, 1937.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
