Lebanon Flag - This flag design was adopted in 1943 and consists of a horizontal triband of two red stripes and a centre white stripe; with a green Lebanon cedar in the centre.
Symbolically, the Lebanon cedar is for holiness, eternity and peace.
The cedar also has its origin in many biblical references and is mentioned 77 times. The cedar also represents the mountains of Lebanon, with white being snow on the mountains all around the cedar trees. White is to represent purity and peace as well as the snow, and red for the blood shed to preserve the country against the successive invaders.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
