Kenya Flag - This flag was adopted in 1963 after Kenya's independence. The design consists of a tricolour flag in black, red and green with two white stripes. In the centre of the flag is a red white and black Maasai shield and two crossed spears. The design was based on the Kenya African National Union. Once independence was reached, the white fimbriation symbolising peace and unity were added along with the shield. Symbolically, the black represents the people of Kenya, red for the blood shed during the fight for independence. Green is for the country's landscape and natural wealth. The shield and spears represent the defense of all the country and flag stand for.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
