Italy Flag - The Italian flag is a tricolour of green, white and red stripes running vertically across the flag. There is said to be two meanings for the chosen colours, the first version is the green is for Italy's plains and the hills, the white for the snow and red for the blood split in the Wars of Italian Independence and Unification.
The second is a religious take, that the green is for hope, white for faith and red for charity. The Italian flag in its current state has been used since 1946 and was then formally adopted in 1948.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
