Isle of Man Flag
Isle of Man Flag- This flag was adopted on the 1st December 1932 and consists of a red field with three armoured legs with golden spurs in the centre. The design dates back to the 13th century and is based on the Manx Coat of Arms. The three legs are know as 'ny tree cassyn' (the three legs) which is called a triskelion. It is not known why the triskelion was originally adopted on the Isle of Mann; the symbol is an ancient one and was used by the Mycenaean's and the Lycians. Prior to this flag, the Union Jack was used as the Ise of Man national flag.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
