Honduras Flag - The design was adopted in 1866 and consists of a triband design with two blue stripes horizontally across the flag (top and bottom) with a white stripe in the middle. In the centre of the white stripe there are 5 blue stars which represent the five original Central American provinces. In 1949 the spacing between the stars was made wider and the Honduras flag has stayed the same since. The blue bands represent the Pacific Ocean and Caribbean Sea, while also representing the sky and brotherhood. The centre white band represents the land between the ocean and the sea, the peace and prosperity of its people, and purity of thoughts. The stars represent the former Federal Republic of Central America -made up of El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala, and the hope that the nations may form a union again.
Our Honduras flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
