Gambia Flag - The current flag design is a horizontal tricolour flag of red, blue and green stripes separated by two narrow stripes of white, which was adopted in 1965 when the country gained independence. Despite the seven years of confederation with Senegal, the flag remained unchanged.
Prior to this flag design, Gambia's flag was a blue ensign flag, defaced with the arms of Gambia and the Protectorate on it - this was the British Colonial administration of Gambia, which was part of the British Empire from 1821 to 1965.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
