Burundi Flag - The current design of the Burundi flag was adopted in 1982. The green and white represent hope and peace, the red for the struggle for independence and the stars are for the 3 ethnic groups that live in the country - the Hutu, Tutsi and the Twa. From 1962 till 1982 the flag went through numerous changes, finally settling on the current design which is the same as the 1967 flag only with different dimensions.
Our Burundi flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
