Botswana Flag - this flag was adopted in 1966, and the colours have cultural, political and regional meanings. The light blue of the Botswana flag is for water/rain as it is relied on for Agriculture and suffers from frequent droughts. The black and with white frame has two meanings. Firstly the colours are for peace and cooperation between the people of different races who live in in Botswana and also racial diversity.
Additionally, the colours represent the Zebra, which is the national animal of Botswana.
