Belgium Flag - The flag was adopted on the 23rd January, 1831. The Belgium Flag is a tricolour flag comprising of black, yellow and red. It is said the vertical stripes may be based on the French flag, while the colours represent the coat of arms of the Duchy of Brabant.
The flag was designed to signify Belgium as an independent country. The dimensions of this flag make it a little unusual as its more square than most other flags.
Our Belgium flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
