Argentina Flag - The design of this flag dates back to the 1800's, with the blue and white said to represent the blue sky opening up to reveal white cloud. The gold sun (the Sun of May) was added at a later date and is said to represent the Inca sun god, Inti. The original flag (without the sun) was adopted in 1812, but wasn't declared the national flag officially until 1816. Two years later, the Sun of May was added to the Argentina flag.
