North Korea Flag - This design was adopted in 1948, and consists of a wide red centre stripe bordered by two narrow white stripes, followed by a blue stripe on the outside edges. Inside the red stripe there is a white disc with red 5 pointed star, located toward the hoist side. This flag is banned in South Korea due to its association with the ruling regime, although some exceptions for the usage of the flag exist.
The colours of the flag (Red, Blue and White) are considered national colours. Symbolically, they represent revolutionary traditions, purity, strength, dignity, sovereignty, peace and friendship.
Our World flags are finished with a loop at the top and bottom of the flag to be used with clips to attach to the rope and run up a flag pole. Clips are included with the flag for your convenience.
